What is "Keieishi-kai"/"Association of Management Consultants in
Japan"?
"Management consultant" means a qualification given
to the persons who passed the examination of the Association
of Management Consultants in Japan, which is an organization
(Certificate No. 29-Enterprise-2638), certified by the
Ministry of International Trade and Industry (the present
Ministry of Economy Trade and Industry). It also means skilled
persons with the specialized knowledge who provide guidance in
line with the ethos of trying to contribute to the development
of industry based upon a high level of scientific knowledge in
regard to management control of companies.
The Association of Management Consultants in Japan makes a
strong effort to implement a strict examination system as well
as to undertake training courses to maintain and improve the
authority of consultants.

■ Examination for the management
consultants
1. Qualifications
Academic ability greater than graduation from university, or 7
years experiences of actual management control
2. Method
1. Writing test:
@ All examinees have to take a common test
A All examinee have to take two out of the six subjects that
are management, production, sales, personnel affairs,
financial affairs and information
2. Oral test:
Interview by examiners for ethic and skills as a management
consultant
3. Date and place
1. Writing test: The 2nd Sunday of every May and
the 1st Sunday of every November
Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, Hiroshima and
Fukuoka
2. Oral test: The 1st Sunday of every June and December
Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Sendai, Nagoya, Hiroshima and
